BIOSOLFarm: Green energy on farms – innovations, support and policy! March 5th, 25

Cross-boarder week took place in Rietavas for “BIOSOLFarm: Green Energy in Agriculture – Innovations, Support, and Policy”. The event was dedicated to exploring how farmers can achieve energy independence, access funding opportunities, and adapt to evolving policies.

During the event, key questions were addressed:

What innovations enable farms to produce and efficiently use energy?

What funding opportunities are available for farmers?

How is the regulatory environment for agricultural energy changing?

What real-world solutions have already been implemented – practical examples from farm visits!

Experts from the BIOSOL Farm international project, policymakers, and farmers who have successfully integrated green energy solutions into their operations also shared their insights and the project partners had the opportunity to visit several farms in Lithuania.
